PROCEDURE FOR OPERATION OF VIALS LABELING MACHINE.
Procedure
·         Switch on the vials labeling machine.
·         Carry out the line clearance of the vials labeling machine and area.
·         Bring the containers of the batch to be labeled near the vials labeling machine.
·         Feed some vials in feeding hopper.

·         Feed the overprinted labels in the label holder.
·         Prepare a right consistency of gum in the gum pot.
·         Before starting a batch, get a specimen label certified by IPQA officer.
·         Collect the labeled vials in plastic containers and label them appropriately.
·         Keep the labeled plastic containers on the pallet.
·         Remove rejected vials and re-label them simultaneously with the batch.
·         Make necessary operational adjustment for proper labeling. This involves.
v  Feeding chute alignment.
v  Label holder alignment.
v  Sponge belt pressure adjustment.
v  Timing of the forward and backward movement of sponge bell.
v  Transferring plate adjustment (between feeding chute and sponge belt).


·         Clean the machine after every batch and day’s operation.
·         Clean the gum pot after every day’s operation.
·         Clean all the accessories used for labeling.
·         Lubricate the machine after every day’s operation.
·         Maintain a record of each day’s activity.
·         Report any abnormality to the supervisor.

Therefore, authentication of medicinal plants is of utmost importance. Morphological, anatomical, chemical and DNA markers solve the problem by differentiating the genuine material from the adulterants, substitutes and spurious drugs.

GRANULATION PROCESS: Granulation process :-  It is a process in which the  powder particles are made to adhere to form larger, multi particle entities called granules.  A dough mass is prepared to form the granules.
