NOVEL METHOD FOR TREATMENT OF DIABETES MELLITUS


Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic disorders of carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism the various complication in the treatment of diabetes mellitus are summerised.These are Diabetic Retinopathy (damage to the retina) caused by complications of diabetes mellitus which can eventually lead to blindness . Diabetic Neuropathy is a common cause of morbidity and death among patients with diabetes, generating a huge economic burden.

Diabetic nephropathy is an important cause of morbidity and mortality, and is now among the most common cause of end stage renal failure in developed country. Diabetic Dermopathy It appears as round to oval atrophic hyper pigmented lesions on the pretrial areas of the lower extremities. Diabetic foot problems are responsible for nearly 50° 0 of all diabetes related hospital admission. Fifty per cent of all lower limb amputation is performed on people with diabetes.

Diabetic cardiomyopathy is the single most important risk factor for coronary artery disease and over 30% diabetics.
